ACORN Voter and Registration Fraud

Last night a federal judge issues a temporary restraining order against Ohio's Democrat Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner for not following the state's registration laws in regard to the ACORN voting scandal. In short, the law requires that decentalized voting offices (there are about 85 of them in Ohio) must verify that a newly registered person is listed in some of the other state records - i.e. that they exist. Apparently, Brunner has not allowed access to these records and insists that the registrations stand without verification. This morning, Powerline quoted from a New York Post article that:

A man at the center of a voter-registration scandal told The Post yesterday he was given cash and cigarettes by aggressive ACORN activists in exchange for registering an astonishing 72 times, in apparent violation of Ohio laws.
"Sometimes, they come up and bribe me with a cigarette, or they'll give me a dollar to sign up," said Freddie Johnson, 19, who filled out 72 separate voter-registration cards over an 18-month period at the behest of the left-leaning Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now.

  1. As a voter who believes that an election should be fair and when this trust has been eroded, I feel that the election should be stopped until those States with major questions of their elector rolls have been cleaned up. If this means that the elections must be postponed, then so be it. The legitimacy of the election of the next President of the United States and leader of the free World is paramount over having the vote on a date when there are major question about the electoral rolls. The American People must regain trust in the elections process before we vote. Call your Congressman and Senator and insist that this happens!!!
