Aiken Republican Party Rally for Joe Wilson

Donna and I attended the Joe Wilson Rally today and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Approximately 100 to 150 loyal Republicans showed up to pay their respects and listen to Joe as he explained the EMPOWERING PATIENTS FIRST ACT ( H.R. 3400) which is a health care solution proposed by the Republican Study Committee. The act rests on six fundamental health care principles- accessibility, affordability, choice, innovation, quality and portability. Most of all it believes in individuals and the power of free people to make independent decisions not Washington. To learn more about Congressman Wilson's view go here.

A small group of protestors also attended but for the most part quietly displayed their signs.

An impressive array of local TV representatives from ABC, CBS and NBC were also present and I turned the tables on them with the following photo.I promised I would post it.

The Aiken Standard did a fair report of the rally. The only quibble I had was the number of participants.I have copied the comments made on the Aiken Standard website regarding their report and submit my own comments.

Regarding Old Folks comment I did see some reasonably young supporters there. Your parents would probably be angry with you.

Laughing at you can't even spell so I suggest he/she should go back to school and grow up.He/she seems genetically deficient.

Joe Barber apparently doesn't like anyone who does anything. He presumes they are rich. He cries like Pagliacci. He makes me sad.

    Comment Title: conflicting numbers
This article states 250 attended Rep. Wilson's rally. We were there during his speech, the crowd size was around 70. Other news media had the number ranging from 150-250.

Anyone still supporting this archaic minded, knuckle dragging, club toting, big lover of big insurance, must be genitically inbred. Develop a mind of your own and stop being a cow.

Comment Title: S.J. Paterniti and Friends Hurts GOP in Aiken
S.J. Paterniti has done alot of harm to the Aiken GOP. He and his rich friends which include: Dick Smith, Dick Dewar, Tom Young, Greg Ryberg, Ken Gorden, Scott Singer, Pete Seaha and their future "Golden Boy" Colen Lindell feel that they run the Aiken GOP. Well I sure have a wakeup call for them. "You guys do not run our Republican Party." That the common hard working people are what makes up this party. When was the last time any of you ever had to get your hands dirty. Why does Colen Lindell have so much power in Aiken Republican Party at his age? He has not earned his postion and I don't think he has ever worked a hard day in his life. He is a FRAUD like all the other names I have writen above. You nasty rich people please say out of our lives. You do no good in Aiken but hurt the working folk. I do not hate rich people but I do hate them when they act like they are above us (S.J. Paterniti). It is sad that Tom young and Colen Lindell are the future of Aiken Republican Party. The two of them never did anything in their lifes. Rich people looking out for only the rich
